What is a notarial service attorney?

While Thailand does not have an official Notary Public, licensed attorneys in Thailand can fulfill the role of a Notarial Services Attorney, undergoing training to provide notary services that encompass the authentication of documents, signatures, affirmatives, identity verification, as well as recognized global acceptance of copies and translations of official documents.

Here is the list of frequently notarized documents:

However, Witsaroot L&L can guide you through the specific requirements for notary services and facilitate the certification process with the relevant authorities in Thailand.

Notarization is the process of having a notary public or a qualified attorney certify the authenticity of a document or the signature(s) on a document. The notary public verifies the identity of the signatories, confirms that they are signing willingly and knowingly, and ensures that the document is executed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The notary then affixes their official seal or stamp to the document, providing a level of authenticity and credibility to the document for use in legal and official matters.

Notarization adds authenticity, credibility, and legal recognition to documents by verifying identities, deterring fraud, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Notarized documents are widely accepted, especially for international use, and play a crucial role in various legal transactions.

signing agent is a specialized individual, often a notary public, who is authorized to facilitate the signing of important documents, particularly those related to real estate transactions. Signing agents are trained to ensure that the signatories understand the documents they are signing and that the process is executed correctly and in compliance with applicable laws. They may also be responsible for notarizing certain documents during the signing process. The role of a signing agent is to act as a neutral and impartial party, providing assistance and expertise to ensure a smooth and legally compliant signing experience.
